Motorola's first official foldable has landed in Pakistan
Something notable happened on 12 October 2026: Motorola launched a foldable phone officially in Pakistan for the first time. The Motorola Razr 60 Ultra 5G is here through CoreTech, Motorola's local distributor, as PTA approved stock with an official warranty. No grey import gamble, no PTA tax surprise at the shop counter, just a flagship flip phone you can buy through proper channels.
That alone makes it a story. Motorola only returned to Pakistan's official market recently, with phones like the Moto G77 rebuilding the brand's local presence. A foldable is a much bolder statement, and the price matches the ambition: Rs 299,999 for the single 16GB RAM and 512GB storage variant, in just one official color, PANTONE Mountain Trail, a wood-effect finish.
So the real question is not whether the phone exists. It is whether a flip phone at flagship money makes sense for a Pakistani buyer in 2026. Here is the honest answer.
What you get for Rs 299,999
The headline is the pair of screens. Open it up and you get a 7.0 inch foldable LTPO AMOLED display running at 165Hz with a 4500 nits peak brightness, one of the fastest and brightest foldable panels on any phone. Fold it shut and the 4.0 inch cover display, also 165Hz and protected by Gorilla Glass Ceramic, handles notifications and quick replies without opening the phone.
Inside, there is no compromise for the sake of the hinge. The Snapdragon 8 Elite chip is the same flagship silicon found in the most expensive conventional phones, paired with 16GB of RAM and 512GB of storage. The camera setup is a dual 50MP pair, a main camera with optical image stabilization and a 50MP ultrawide, with 8K video recording and a 50MP front camera. The battery is 4700mAh with 68W wired TurboPower charging and 30W wireless charging, and the stainless steel hinge carries an IP48 rating for dust and water resistance.
For a foldable, that spec sheet is unusually complete. Early flip phones asked you to accept a weaker chip, a smaller battery or a worse camera. The Razr 60 Ultra does not ask that.
Why official stock matters here more than usual
Foldables and grey imports are a bad combination. A flip phone has a hinge, a folding display and a cover screen, which means more parts that can fail and more reason to want a real warranty. Official CoreTech stock sold as PTA approved means the phone is registered for use on Pakistani networks and covered by a local warranty, so a hinge or display problem becomes a service center visit rather than a dispute with an importer.
