The Galaxy A36 and the Redmi Note 14 are two of the most asked about phones in Pakistan right now, but they are not really rivals in the usual sense. One of them costs roughly twice the other. So the honest question is not which phone is better in a vacuum. It is whether the Galaxy A36 is worth about Rs 60,000 more than the Redmi Note 14. This comparison answers exactly that, using the prices and specs listed on InfoMobs.
Price in Pakistan
Samsung Galaxy A36 (8GB, 256GB): Rs 119,999
Redmi Note 14 (8GB, 128GB): Rs 57,999
Redmi Note 14 (8GB, 256GB): Rs 61,999
That is a gap of Rs 62,000 at the base variants and Rs 58,000 when both phones have 256GB storage. The A36 comes in a single Pakistan variant, 8GB RAM with 256GB storage and no microSD slot. The Note 14 gives you two choices and a microSDXC slot on top. Keep that gap in mind through every section below, because it is the whole debate.

Display
Both phones have 120Hz AMOLED displays, and both look good for everyday use. The A36 has a 6.7 inch Super AMOLED panel with 1080 x 2340 resolution, Gorilla Glass Victus Plus protection and a 1900 nits peak brightness. The Note 14 has a 6.67 inch AMOLED panel with 1080 x 2400 resolution, Gorilla Glass 5 and 1800 nits peak brightness.
In practice the A36 screen is a little tougher and a little brighter outdoors, thanks to Victus Plus and the higher peak brightness. The Note 14 screen is not far behind, and at half the price it is hard to call the display a reason to spend double. This round goes to the A36 on protection and brightness, but only narrowly.
Performance
The A36 runs on the Snapdragon 6 Gen 3, a 4 nm chip with Adreno 710 graphics. The Note 14 runs on the MediaTek Helio G99 Ultra, a 6 nm chip with Mali-G57 MC2 graphics. The Snapdragon is the newer, more efficient chip of the two, and it shows in sustained performance and battery efficiency.
There is a bigger difference hiding here: the A36 supports 5G, while the Note 14 sold in Pakistan is a 4G only phone. If you plan to keep your phone for several years, 5G support alone is a real argument for the A36, because 5G coverage in Pakistan will only grow over the life of the phone. If you only use 4G today and upgrade often, the Note 14 chip handles daily apps, social media and casual gaming without complaint.
